Hispanic Heritage Month Assembly

Unidos: Hispanic Heritage Month Assembly was a collection of all of our PS 8 Lion bilingual classes showcasing their culture and heritage through dance and song. Together, under the direction of Mrs. Ortiz and the PS 8 Arts Department, we were able to provide a celebration of all of the different parts of our community that help weave the tapestry of the Lions Community!

P.S.'8 Green Team 2024-2025

Our Green Team went to the Botanical Gardens to learn about the concept of Green Infrastructure. Green Infrastructure: How to Manage Water in a Sustainable Way. The students explored innovative methods for rainwater harvesting, learned how native plants can enhance biodiversity, and discovered the importance of permeable surfaces in reducing urban runoff, all while engaging in hands-on activities that inspired them to implement these sustainable practices in their own communities.
