Pre K & 3K Application Process

Dear PS 8 Families,

We are happy to announce that 3-K and Pre-K applications will open on January 15th.

-If your child was born in 2021 and lives in New York City, they are eligible to attend Pre-K starting in Fall 2025.

-If your child was born in 2022 and lives in New York City, they are eligible to attend 3K starting in Fall 2025.

How to Apply

-Online with MySchools: https://www.myschools.nyc/en/(Open external . Apply online in English, Arabic, Bengali/Bangla, Chinese, Haitian Creole, French, Korean, Russian, Spanish, or Urdu.

-By phone at 718-935-2009. Interpretation services are available in more than 200 languages for over-the-phone applications. You can ask questions and request information about admissions in any language when you call.

-In person at a Family Welcome Center (see locations here: https://www.myschools.nyc/en/) and an Enrollment Counselor will assist you in submitting an application.

Fall 2025 Admissions Timeline

Wednesday, January 15, 2025: Application Opens
Friday, February 28, 2025: Application Closes
Tuesday, May 13, 2025: Offer Release

Please Note: Admissions are not first come, first served! You can make changes to your application any time before the deadline. All applications submitted by this date are treated the same based on admissions priorities.

Project 10Million’s Direct to Parent/Guardian program provides internet access to eligible families that have a student who meets the eligibility criteria.
